Niet zo goed geslapen… last van rugpijn.

Christos pikt me weer op met dezelfde glimlach als altijd. Zijn grappen zijn hilarisch, en hij lacht er dan ook zelf mee :). Zijn rijstijl is al even komisch… je moet hem zien zitten in dat kleine autootje.

Mr Christakis blijkt in de voormiddag nooit op het kantoor te zijn. Maar of hij er nu wel of niet is, het blijft altijd grappen maken op onze verdieping. Zeker Maria (Marketing) is er goed in.
Zoals elke dag al, wachten er nu ook al mails op me… Ik kan alles al goed begrijpen en weet welke mails er voor onze afdeling van toepassing zijn en welke niet.

Christos heeft een kleine opdracht voor me. Ik moet een dossier afwerken betreffende een luchtvracht. De aanvraag komt binnen, ik bereken de rates zeer aandachtig en vraag af en toe nog wel wat uitleg. De berekening wordt nagelezen door Christos en ik verzend de kostprijs van de verscheping naar de klant. De klant gaat akkoord en boekt de verscheping bij Shoham. Maar hier stopt het nog niet. Er moet ook nog een mail gestuurd worden naar de plaats van bestemming (de luchthaven van Larnaca) met het bedrag van de verscheping. Dit mag ik ook afhandelen.

De hele dag door krijg ik kleine opdrachten en de tijd vliegt voorbij. Ik voelde me goed bij het idee dat ik stilaan een beetje verantwoordelijkheid kreeg. Christos wil me zoveel mogelijk betrekken bij het afhandelen van dossiers en het inkijken van belangrijke documenten. Ik kijk al uit naar morgen.

Thuis maak ik voor mezelf een typische Griekse salade. Een ontspannend bad en nog even skypen met vrienden en familie.

Morgen ben ik er weer…

Didn't sleep so well ... my back is killing me.

Christos picks me up again with the same smile as always. His jokes are hilarious, and he laughs with his own jokes :). His driving style is just as funny ... you should see him sitting in that little car.

Mr. Christakis shows never to be at the office in the morning. But whether he is in or not, it's always fun on our floor. Certainly Maria (Marketing) is good at it. As each day, even now there are mails waiting for me ... I can understand everything and know what mails apply for our department and which not.

Christos has a small job for me. I have to complete a case on air transport. The request comes in, I calculate the rates very carefully, and ask now and then some explanation. The calculation is reviewed by Christos and I send the cost of shipping to the customer. The customer agrees and enters the shipment at Shoham. But it's not ending here. We also must sent a mail to the place of destination (the airport of Larnaca) with the amount of the shipment. This I also handled. The whole day I get small orders and the time flies by. I felt good at the idea that I was obtaining a bit of responsibility. Christos want me as much as possible in the handling of files and for important documents. I look forward to tomorrow.

At home I make myself a typical Greek salad. A relaxing bath and some skype with friends and family.

Tomorrow I am back ...
